Amman Imman partners with Dining for Women
Silver Spring, MD APRIL 30, 2016 We are pleased to announce that Amman Imman has been selected to receive a grant from Dining for Women. Dining for Women (DFW) is a non-profit global giving circle dedicated to empowering women and girls living in extreme poverty. Members in chapters across the world gather monthly to share a meal, learn together and raise funds to support DFW’s featured grassroots project for that month. These social gatherings facilitate a unique collective giving model that celebrates the power of the individual to recognize an injustice and take action to change it.
Amman Imman will be DFW’s featured organization in November 2016. The project, Herds for Economic Resiliency (HERds), will establish a livestock lending program and fodder bank in the village of Tangarwashane. HERds aims to support children’s nutrition and women’s economic independence. Women will be trained in herd and fodder management to successfully start their own small businesses.
Amman Imman is very grateful for DFW’s generous grant. Learn more about our partnership here: www.diningforwomen.org/programs/amman-imman-water-is-life/
